ImpulsePause is a Chrome extension designed to reduce impulsive browsing. We do not sell personal data. We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the service and manage subscriptions.

Information We Collect

Billing Information (via Stripe)

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe processes:

• Email address
• Payment method details
• Subscription status
• Billing metadata required to manage your subscription

ImpulsePause does not store full credit card numbers on its servers.

Product Operation Data

To operate the extension and verify subscription status, we may process:

• An anonymous installation identifier
• Subscription and entitlement status
• Minimal event metadata required to determine Pro access

This data is used strictly for service functionality.

AI Feature (Optional)

If you enable AI functionality, the task text you provide is sent to OpenAI to generate a short response.

• AI usage is optional.
• Only user-provided task text is processed.
• We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.

Support Communications

If you contact support, we receive:

• Your email address
• The content of your message

This information is used only to respond to your request.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect browsing history.
• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not store full payment card numbers.
• We do not track user activity across websites.

ImpulsePause may read the active tab's domain locally in your browser only to determine whether a pause should be displayed. This information is not transmitted to our servers.

Data Security

All network requests are encrypted in transit using HTTPS. The extension does not load remote code or execute arbitrary external scripts.

Data Retention

We retain only what is necessary to:

• Operate the service
• Maintain subscriptions
• Fulfill legal and accounting obligations

Subscription records are retained for the duration of the subscription and as required by law. Support emails are retained only as needed to resolve requests. You may request deletion of personal data by contacting us.

Subprocessors

We use the following service providers:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• OpenAI — AI task processing (only when enabled)

Chrome Web Store Compliance

ImpulsePause:

• Does not sell personal data
• Does not collect browsing history
• Does not inject remote code
• Limits network requests to service and billing functionality
